i'm here!

and i finally got to meet my new niece!

i love her to bits :)

i know, i know, i know...

i've been a bad blogger lately.
i've been sick, tired and feeling creatively challenged.
but i promise to be back to my usual self soon. in fact, just last night my head was suddenly swimming with ideas that i can't wait to get started on (perhaps that was because of the ginormous vitamins i just started eating like they're going out of style).
and i especially promise to be back to my usual return-commenting. (i figure that since i love it when people leave me comments on here, it is nice to return a comment to your blogs too :)
i hope to return from my trip next week feeling refreshed, de-stressed, and full of creativity again!
normally i would have scheduled some posts for while i'm gone but i haven't been quite organized enough for that lately, so in the meantime i will leave you with this fabulousness...

i'm really enjoying this series of posts from the lovely sometimes sweet blog - called tattoo tuesday. i always like seeing other people's tattoos, and hearing the stories behind them. i used to really like the tv show LA Ink for that reason, but unfortunately it started to have a little too much reality-show-drama for my liking so i don't watch it very often anymore. too bad, because it used to be one of my faves.

Remember lovely Vivianna from Polka Dot Robot, whom I featured here a couple months ago (who also featured me a couple months ago too)? Well, she has a (very affordable) online art journal class coming up in March and I'm super excited about it! I took a little art journal class about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. I've already signed up for this one now also and I think you should too!

did i ever mention that one of my dream jobs when i was young was to be a female rockstar? i know you are thinking - really? a female rockstar? but yes, it's true.

anyhoo, i am definitely looking forward to The Runaways movie coming out next month! although i have to say that i'm a little weirded out/surprised it's starring dakota fanning and kristen stewart. but from what i've heard, they do a good job. so i'll try to be non-judgemental until i see for myself :)

what the french toast?

i'm always a fan of ways to swear without actually swearing. this commercial from Orbit gum (best gum flavours EVER by the way) has some good ones. (although not my absolute fave, which is "Shut the FRONT DOOR!" you know... instead of 'Shut the F-up'! although "What the french toast?" is a close second)

oh, and not only was yesterday groundhog day, it was also my sister's due date! no baby yet, but it could officially be ANY DAY NOW! i am not letting my phone leave my side, excitedly awaiting the call (or text :)
