Happy (almost) New Year!!!

I know I said I'd be back to regular posting this week, but after my and my hubby's little holiday get-away (which was wonderful and I'll post about soon) I am now sick as a DOG (not sure where that saying came from - aren't dogs usually healthy?) - actually my hubby is super-sick as well :(

Anyways, lots of rest and clear fluids for us right now...

I wish that's what I meant by clear fluids... doesn't that look yummy? If I was feeling up to being a party animal tonight I'd definitely have to include that drink in the evening's festivities.

Sometimes things make me laugh out loud when I read them...

... this is one of those things.

I started reading the Scott Adams blog (creator of the Dilbert comic strips) a couple of years ago. Before then I was never able fully appreciated the humour behind Dilbert.. until I began working at an office for a large corporation. Then suddenly I found those little Dilbert scenarios so funny (and sadly true-to-life) that I used to post them up at my desk, keep copies in my notebook, forward them to co-workers, etc. Whenever I was having a bad day I could just read one of those comic strips and it would honestly cheer me up - at the very least just for the moment I read it. While I don't work there anymore, I still occasionally read the odd Dilbert comic strip and get a giggle out of it. However, I am still a frequent reader of Scott Adams' blog - he is just. friggin. hilarious. I laugh out loud just about every time I read it. Seriously people. You need to check it out.

Shop Update + Last Day for Free Shipping!

Just a quick note to remind everyone that December 15th is the last day of my free shipping offer! I've updated my little shop with some new goodies, so for those still that still have a bit of holiday shopping left to do - now's the time! :)

I'm pretty much done all my holiday decorating/baking/shopping - keeping things pretty low-key this year, as it seems most people are... but The Hubby and I are very much looking forward to our little Christmas get-away! This is where I will be spending most of my time...
